During the afternoon, we will cover a range of techniques required for urban photography. We’ll look at the use of different lenses, reading the histogram, getting creative at popular locations and how to use filters in the urban environment.
After dark we explore the back-streets and alleyways (snickets) that create a maze around the city’s streets. Gas lamps light our way, creating mysterious and atmospheric locations. This is film Noir York style. Not only will you capture some unique images, but you’ll also learn solid photography techniques shooting in these challenging conditions. We’ll cover exposure, ISO settings, focusing, shutter speeds and white balance.
